Rafa Benitez will not take this any more. The Inter manager, subject of innumerable critics in the recent days has decided to display his pride: his words at the Corriere Dello Sport are destined to appear extremely interesting for Inter fans. Arriving after Mourinho might have been a disadvantage for him: “When you arrive at a winning club it is never easy. I started working in Valencia after the team had reached two Champions League finals. The fans were worried the new coach would not be able to bring new trophies home. The same happened later at Liverpool, the Reds were coming from a long series of victories. But Rafa insists: “I will show you. I will win. This team will bring home the Club's World Cup, I am certain.”

Benitez then recalls his first days in Milan: “When I arrived I congratulated the guys for everything they won. I knew five or six players, and I knew what they wanted from the future. Since the beginning, I have tried to apply as little changes as possible, with a slow introduction of my methods and my ideas in the later times. Those who define me as a cold and detached coach are wrong, I have passion as well as self-control. I am trying to combine with these two, but in this 'Big Brother' society the best seems to be he who shows off and shouts the most.”

His final thoughts regard the fans and the players: “The Inter fans are like Liverpool's, always ready to support the team. Here there are important players with an important mentality, it is what we need to come out victorious.”
